The Frame Shop FTL

Journal · mail-in & shipping

Mailing a piece to the bench — without the panic.

It arrives, we unpack, we photograph — then we talk.

Shipping something you love feels wrong until you've done it once with a shop that unpacks, photographs, and confirms before anything is cut. That's how we work.

Photos first. Then pack the box.

What travels well

Glass already in a cheap frame? Tell us — sometimes it's safer to ship the art out of the glass. Oversize rigid panels and deep shadowbox objects: call first so we plan the carton.

Packing that actually protects

What happens when it arrives

We unpack, photograph condition, and confirm design and price with you before we cut moulding or glass. Nothing starts on a guess. When the frame is done, you pick up in Fort Lauderdale or we ship it back — acrylic glazing is often smarter than glass for long hauls.

Pack like the piece has to survive the truck.
Start before the box. Send photos of the piece and the wall through Ask a framer — free design and a real number. Prepaid mailer kits after a deposit are on the way; for now we guide packing and receiving at 5470 NW 10th Terrace, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309.

Finished frames going the other direction

Online orders can ship from checkout. Local customers often pick up free at the bench. Big glass packages sometimes leave as acrylic for the same reason airplanes prefer plastic cups.
