The workshop

The saw starts early.

Everything is cut, joined, fitted and sealed here. Nothing is sent out. That's not a slogan; it's the floor plan.

A framer at the bench with a large marine canvas, the moulding wall behind.

The rooms

What you'd see on a walk-through.

The wall

Hundreds of profiles in stick form, gold leaf to barnwood. Ten minutes at the wall settles most framing decisions faster than an hour online.

The bench

The chopper, the underpinner, the fitting tables. A miter either meets or it doesn't — there's no almost.

The mat room

Conservation rag board, cut at forty-five degrees. Wider than you think it should be, almost every time.

The glass rack

Regular to museum grade, cut in-house. Sun-facing wall? We'll say so. North hallway? We'll save you the money.

The print room

Gallery-grade printing for digital photos and reproductions — color-managed from your file to the paper.

The intake table

Where the vests, jerseys, letters, and paintings arrive. The best stories in the building start here.

The makers

Signed by the people who do it.

The work leaves here in the hands that built it, not under a brand name. Three of those hands:

On the bench

The joiner

Runs the bench most days. Won't let a weighted mat leave under half an inch, and hasn't been talked into it yet.

The mat room

The cutter

The mat room is theirs. Cuts the openings everyone else measures twice against.

Up front

Intake & design

Sits with you at the counter. Has talked more people out of overspending on glass than into it.

Work at the bench

The bench is growing.

More work comes through every month. If you cut clean miters — or want to learn to — we'd like to meet you. Tell us what you've made.
